Western Bulldogs' ruckman Tom Campbell has pledged his allegiance to the club with a two-year contract extension.

The new deal will see the big man remain a Dog until the end of 2018.

Rival clubs were touted as being very interested in Campbell with the search for ruckmen expected to be a major factor in this season's trade period.

The 24-year-old has played 35 games for the Bulldogs, but has not played for the senior side since Round 13 of this year.

He will be playing for the club's VFL side in their Preliminary Final against Collingwood this weekend.
